ABOUT THE PROJECT
Over the course of life, people experience a series of changes in all areas in which they operate, daily mobilizing efforts to discover themselves personally and professionally. The newcomer to university brings with them their ideas and potential, but also the challenges of social interaction. The academic environment contains a world of opportunities and knowledge, but, during adaptation, some difficulties can lead to a vulnerable situation in the mental health of this student, due to the high level of stress and demand that the university environment produces. The Escuta Project was created with the aim of being an open and continuous service channel to listen to these people and their demands related to mental health that may occur during academic life, and to talk about ways of coping with such situations.
The calls are made via chat on this site , by professionals specialized in volunteer mental health, who were scheduled at different service hours of the ESCUTA channel.
The Escuta project started its activities in June 2020 and has a team of nine mental health professionals. The reception is done through the chat on this page .
