The Listening project was formulated by the team of professors at the UFMG School of Nursing, from the Department of Applied Nursing in the area of mental health. The faculty of the mental health area at EE/UFMG is composed of five professors with qualifications and expertise in the different areas of activity involving mental health nursing, and in addition to working in teaching, they develop research and extension projects, among which the researches carried out, we can cite studies related to  practices in mental health and substance abuse, strategies that promote embracement, bonding and autonomy in the context of the Psychosocial Care Network in Minas Gerais; the overload and satisfaction with the work of professionals from Primary Health Care teams and care strategies against the risky use and harmful use of alcohol and tobacco.
